Movies have inspired me my whole life.

So much so that I:

• worked at a video store

• went to film school

• worked as a personal assistant to an Oscar-nominated director

• went to film school again for my masters

• graduated in 6 figure debt

• worked grueling jobs in just about every part of the film and tv business for years

• never stopped trying

• finally had a huge script sale

• became a professional screenwriter

• started a newsletter to write about movies

On Fridays I write about:

• movies I won’t watch out of spite

• movies I’ve watched at 2am while lying on someone else’s carpet

• movies my dad has seen more than the people who made them

• movies about greedy bastards

• movies that make me wish there were more movies about female geniuses

• movies where the dog doesn’t die

• movies I used to rent at the video store as a kid

• movies that made me not want to be a lawyer

• movies that made me want to make movies

• movies

Long story short:

I am a professional screenwriter and I write about movies that INSPIRE ME because I AM INSPIRED BY MOVIES - even the terrible ones (sometimes, especially the terrible ones).

I LOVE MOVIES.

If I could dive into a big pile of Blurays and just roll around… that would be heaven. Uncomfortable, yes. But still! Wonderful!
